DOWN PAYMENT ASSISTANCE


 

       

Homeownership Assistance Program

 South Carolina Housing Trust Fund

Forgivable loan of up to $20,000 (Beaufort County) or $10,000 in other counties available through the SC Housing Trust Fund on a “needs basis.” Loan is forgivable (5% per year) if you occupy your home for 20 years; otherwise, a recapture provision applies.

Income must be less than or equal to 80% of the HUD Median Family Income for County of purchase.

Must attend an approved financial education class.

Condos and modular homes eligible.

 

Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta

Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta often has grant monies available.  Check with your lender. (Ask for FHP, 5:1 matching.)

 

USDA- Rural Development

USDA-Rural Development offers direct and guaranteed loans.  Call (834) 549-1822 for more information.
