SEPTEMBER 7, 2007  Deadline Closed For Round One!

Round Two unknown at this time!!

 Mobile Home Replacement Program

Effective August 7, 2007, Lowcountry Community Development Corporation, Inc. (LCDC)  in partnership with the South Carolina State Housing Finance and Development Authority, is Accepting Applications from very-low-income mobile home owners whose dwellings are dilapidated and not cost-effective to repair.

Eligibility for assistance is based on several factors.  The recipient’s total household income must be below 50% of the HUD median family income for the county of residence, adjusted for family size; the current dwelling must be paid for in full; the recipient must have clear title to the property where the dwelling will be placed; and the current dwelling must be determined to be too expensive to repair.

A new single-wide unit will be provided at no cost, with grant funds that will be forgiven over a 20-year period.  The grant is recorded as a restrictive covenant with the recipient’s property deed.  The old dwelling will be demolished.

For questions and concerns please contact Joan Mustard by phone at (843) 681-2993 or email cdcorp@hargray.com
